Where can I find the form?
You can find the form in the library or in the Grade 5 and 6 classrooms.

Directions:
- Fill out 5 squares of the Bingo board:
- vertical
- horizontal
- diagaonal
- OR the four corners and the free space
- Write the title and author, the date you finished the book, and the category.
- Show to your Grade 5 or Grade 6 English teacher for extra credit!
- Hand it in to a librarian before March 8 for prizes!
Prizes:
- For every BINGO board, you can get a special pencil, sticker or bookmark.
- Every completed BINGO board is entered into a drawing for a $20 gift certificate at a local bookstore. (1 per grade)
- Drawing on March 8.
Special Categories
Some of the BINGO squares have special categories.

- “Read a book by a literature ambassador” The following authors have been chosen by the Library of Congress as a national ambassador for young people’s literature.
- Meg Medina is the current ambassador.
- Jason Reynolds, Jacqueline Woodson, Walter Dean Myers, Katherine Paterson, Kate DiCamillo, Gene Luen Yang and Jon Scieszka have been past ambassadors.
- Look in the “Other Book Lists” column –> for books by these authors.
- Boston Globe Horn Book Award list
- Coretta Scott King Book Award list
- 2023-2024 MCBA (Massachusetts Children’s Book Award) SORA List
- Newbery Award list (This is a Boston Public Library list. Check our catalog or SORA to get a title if you don’t have a BPL card.)
